Here is a quick update before I have to get going to band.
Lately I have been doing a lot of thinking about what I want to do with my life, as many of you may know. I have not been very satisfied with the music program here at DSU, which is why I am considering transfering to either SDSU or UNL to be involved in their awesome music programs. I still have to do a lot of thinking to do about this issue, so wish me luck.
I had a very interesting experience earlier this afternoon in chem lab in our experiment to make alum from aluminum. I somehow managed to get a couple of drops of concentrated sulfuric acid onto one of my fingers, and I noticed this when I felt a burning sensation on my finger and looked down to see a couple little yellow spots. So I told my chem professor and we got it under some water, at which point it almost instantly blistered. After holding it under running water for a while, it was fine, and I am happy to report that you can't hardly tell it happened anymore, although it would have been cool if there was a little mark for a few days.
Tomorrow and Saturday should be very exciting days, as Tina is coming down from SDSU to visit me. On Friday night I think we are going to go to Open Mic Night, where my friend Reid is going to do some freestyle rapping. Saturday morning is DSU's homecoming parade, so I will be riding on a flatbed with the band, and I think Tina is going to ride along and play as well. In the afternoon is the football game at which I am playing pep band (along with Tina) and then I'm not sure what we'll be doing the rest of the day.
That is about all of the news I have for now, and sometime soonish I will get around to uploading some pictures of my friends at DSU and stuff like that.
Here are some pictures:
